Sensory Compression and postural support for babies! Snaps at the shoulder to ease overhead dressing. Kozie’s short sleeve stylish unisex compression top is made of comfy 4-way stretch fabric which allows the child to move and play. Each compression top can be worn as an inner or outer garment while providing deep pressure calming and organizing sensory input. Relevant styling is the key to our non-stigmatizing apparel.  These popular shirts are designed to hug the shoulders, body trunk, and hips.

Evidence suggests that weight and pressure inputs provide both tactile and proprioceptive sensory input to the body, calming the central nervous system as well as providing postural support and input to weak, floppy, or low tone (hypotonia) musculature.

Compression Deep touch pressure causes the release of both serotonin and dopamine in the brain.  These are "happy" neurotransmitters and produce a feeling of calm. Sensory Compression and Deep pressure often increase our Happy hormones while also slowing down our involuntary functions such as heart rate, blood pressure and the stress hormone cortisol. Some of these conditions that benefit from deep pressure input are as follows, but not limited to:

  • Autism
  • Sensory processing disorder
  • Anxiety
  • Sensory Tactile Defensiveness
  • Premature birth
  • ADHD
  • OCD
  • Low Tone
  • Hypotonia
  • Developmental delays
  • Misophonia
  • Hyperacusis
  • Asperger’s syndrome
  • Dyspraxia
  • Postural disorder
  • Motor coordination disorders
  • Speech disorders
  • Learning disabilities
  • Executive function disorders
  • Fragile X syndrome
  • Sleep disorders
  • Mood disorders
  • Tourette syndrome
